The Dunhuang Grottoes, also known as the Mogao Caves, are a complex of 492 Buddhist cave temples located in Dunhuang, Gansu province, China.

The caves were built between the 4th and 14th centuries AD and are famous for their elaborate murals and sculptures, which represent one of the most complete and best-preserved examples of Buddhist art in China.

The Dunhuang Grottoes are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are considered to be one of the greatest cultural treasures of China.
